How to build your own website - on the cheap.

These days there are millions of people out there willing to build you a website, for a fee. That's fee not free. They'll sell you the domain name, the hosting and then get you into a contract where you send them money every month to maintain the site and they make sure your domain name and hosting is always on. All that stuff you can and should do yourself. This information is FREE.
Now, when I say "cheap", I am talking about over the long run. Building anything yourself requires a certain amount of tools. So the startup cost might seem a little high but it's always been better to own than rent.
GET YOUR DOMAIN NAME FIRST
I recommend
Network Solutions. It's probably a little more expensive than the
alternatives but they are pioneers in the industry and I like the way they do
business. You've got people out there selling you names dirt cheap and I
just wonder what the catch is. Who owns the name? Them or you?

MICROSOFT EXPRESSION WEB
When I was looking at building a website, I was scared to death by the HTML
code. I didn't know it then in 1998 and I don't know much more about it
today. Microsoft Expression Web saved my butt on that one. I
might have spent a two hundred dollars on that software but it made building my
website as easy as typing. Microsoft Expression Web converts what you are
typing into the HTML needed to produce a website. I don't even know that
much about . All my web pages are pretty much the same.
But I don't care. I get the hits. And in the web business
"hits is
money". So I recommend clicking on the link I have provided and buying

WEB HOSTING
Everybody and their brother is in this business. And once your in your
hooked. It's all kinds of work changing web hosting companies. I use
ICD on seven of my websites and I think they are the greatest. Their
customer service is outstanding. It's all done by email but, man, they are
fast. The price is right too. I pay about $6.00 a month I think.
I only have one website that does not use ICD and that's because I haven't had
